Using This Service

Economist and Private Sector Development Services was created to provide DFID and other donor agencies with rapid access to a large pool of high quality technical experts. It is designed to quickly find and mobilize technical specialists, and ensure project delivery according to ISO-9001 certified quality standards.

If you require external technical expertise:

1. Contact the EPSDS Management Team who will work with you to clarify your terms of reference if necessary.

2. Once we agree to work together, we will search for suitable candidates by circulating your terms of reference to the EPSDS consortium to collect competitive bids for the project. We will then present you with suitable candidates.

3. Once you have selected a candidate, we will propose a budget for fees (determined by fee band) and reimbursable expenses.

4. Once you send an Authority to Engage to Procurement Group and we receive a contract, we will undertake all management, mobilisation and contracting responsibilities.

5. We will monitor progress and ensure satisfactory completion according to specification and quality standards. This includes conducting a quality review of deliverables.
